Registration Instructions

The following information describes how new organizations and individuals can join the Global Medicine Network. After registering, you will be able to begin using the network.

  1. To join , begin by clicking on the "Join Now!" link found on the upper left side of the homepage.
  2. Click on “Register as an individual” or “Register as an organization.”
  3. You will see an on-screen form with boxes for registration information. To write in a box, use your mouse to click on the beginning of the box. Once you click, you should see the cursor within the box. If so, you can now type in the information.
  4. You can also use the tab key to move down to the next box.
  5. Use the slider bar on the far right side of the screen to move down the form. Some boxes, like the country box, are actually pull-down menus. To use these, click on the small downward pointing arrowhead on the right side of each box. A list will appear such as a list of nations. Click on the appropriate line on each list so that is highlighted (darkened background). After clicking, the desired selection such as "Argentina" should now appear in the data entry box.
  6. Some questions have a small check box to the left. To answer affirmatively, click on the small box and a check mark will appear. Otherwise, leave the box un-checked.
  7. At the bottom of the page you will a section regarding your username and password. Your username will automatically be your email address that you entered near the top of the form, but you will need to choose a password. Enter a password of you choice in the "Password" box and then enter it again in the "Confirm Password" box. You will need both your username and password whenever you use the network.
  8. When you have filled in all of the necessary boxes press the "Submit" button.
  9. You will now see a confirmation page. Read through this to make sure all information is correct. Again use the slider bar on the right side of the screen or the up/down arrow keys on your keyboard to move down the page. If you are satisfied with all of the information, press the "Submit My Record" key. Otherwise, if there is something you wish to change, press the "Go back to my registration form" key and make the changes you want. After you make any changes, press the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page, review the confirmation page again and press "Submit My Record."
